Way back in April 2011, Corey and I attended a 2 day workshop in New York with an acting coach, Anthony Meindl. Well, needless to say, those were the best 2 days we have had. We just clicked and the way he taught really really helped us.
With this, we knew at that time he had a school in LA, which now has spread to New York, Vancouver, and Sydney. So, moving out here we knew we had to get into his school His workshop is considered one of the top schools out in LA so with that being said, getting in could be a while considering the wait list. So, in August, we audited a class, which btw, was completely AMAZING and reassuring us WHY we wanted to be in this school. After attending, we were eligible to get on the wait list. Well, it didn't take us too long considering we had done a workshop with him back in 2011, and as of last week, we were taken off the wait list and accepted into the school! :) So, October, needless to say, is going to be jammed pack and I couldn't be happier

I'm getting used to updating and building my website, but I wanted to go ahead and update you on a few things.
I have been living out in California for about 3 months and I am very happy with the progress that has been made I recently went out of my comfort zone and auditioned to be a part of an improv troupe. Improv has always been what I considered a weakness of mine. Perhaps I was just scared of it. But, I knew that I needed to come out of this shell, conquer my fears and just go for it. So, back in September, my husband and I auditioned to be a part of LA Connection Theater. I have done improv before in a class setting but never as an audition. I told myself that I am just going to let myself go, and just do what I can do. So, when it came my turn to play so to speak :), I just went for it. I did not try to be funny, but I listened and accepted every offer thrown at me. Well, as luck may have it, Corey( my husband) and I both got accepted and have been attending a couple of rehearsals thus far. Tomorrow will mark our 3rd week and we meet every Tuesday to go over and get familiar with the games and of course to work on improv. I am so excited to be a part of this and our first show in front of an audience will be in November |
